My Review of The Girl in the Photo by Heidi Amsinck

After I finished reading My Name is Jensen by Heidi Amsinck, I said I loved the characters and hoped to see more Jensen books in the future and that Jensen would be the character I follow for the next decade.

I was excited to see there was a Jensen book 2 coming out and wasn’t disappointed.

My Name is Jensen was my book of the year in 2021 and the only book I gave a 9 star review to.

The Girl in the Photo has done it again, another 9 star view and looking very likely to be my book of the year this year.

I keep hearing others describing the Jensen books as Scandi Noir, I’m not in to these fancy terms, but just love the way the characters are written and how Copenhagen is described, I’ve said before that Jensen reminds me of Morse but with Oxford replaced by Copenhagen.

Other characters are given equal emphasis in the clever way that Heidi Amsinck writes chapters from the views of them.

One chapter it’s Jensen the next chapter it’s Henrick and we also get to hear more about Jenssens’ young assistant Gustav.

I’m not going to write anymore, but suggest you go and read The Girl in the Photo by Heidi Amsinck yourself.
